Under Armour wanted to have a big, engaging experience at SXSW 2019 that told the story of their new line of AI leveraging shoe called The Hovr. The result was a huge 20’ x 20’ LED floored/walled basketball installation and a fully interactive running game.
The basketball experience was built in Touch Designer, triggering Ableton Live 10 via OSC data and presented a spatialized mix through a custom surround sound array.
The running experience was built entirely in the Unreal Engine and tracked user’s movements with the Xbox Kinect tracker. The experience required extensive implementation for an appropriately reactive audio experience.
Both experiences relied on VO performed by and recorded/mixed by our team.
